South Carolina’s democratic process is under siege. Your right to choose your leaders is being trampled by a political elite determined to silence those who challenge their grip on power. On April 21, 2025, the South Carolina Senate voted 33-8 to remove State Treasurer Curtis Loftis, a four-term elected official you chose overwhelmingly. Senate Bill S534 accuses Loftis of “willful neglect of duty” over a $1.8 billion accounting error—a charge he calls a “political hit job.” This isn’t just about one man; it’s a direct attack on your vote and your voice.
A Reformer Targeted for Doing Right
Curtis Loftis dared to disrupt Columbia’s cozy status quo. As Treasurer, he manages billions in state funds, including our pension investments—a magnet for Wall Street’s high-fee funds and private equity firms. Early in his tenure, Loftis shifted investments to low-cost index mutual funds and ETFs, saving taxpayers millions and strengthening our pension. The SPIVA report consistently shows index funds outperform expensive, actively managed funds, yet Loftis’ reforms threatened the profits of powerful financial interests and their allies in the legislature.
Now, those entrenched powers are fighting back. As forensic audits confirmed, the $1.8 billion “error” they’ve attributed to Loftis was a non-cash accounting glitch from a 2016 system transition, with no money lost or stolen. Former officials, like Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom, faced no such punishment for similar issues, yet Loftis, who has served faithfully since 2010, is being targeted for removal. Why? Because his cost-cutting and transparency exposed wasteful spending and challenged the insiders who profit from it.
Your vote is under threat in South Carolina—act now to protect it!
A Rigged Process to Override Your Choice
The Senate’s “removal on address” is a constitutional maneuver that lets legislators nullify your vote with less scrutiny than an impeachment. Loftis was denied a fair hearing—no witnesses, no cross-examination, just a rushed, politicized spectacle led by Senators Larry Grooms and Stephen Goldfinch. His attorney called it “political theater,” not justice, and the South Carolina Supreme Court refused to intervene, leaving Loftis defenseless against a Senate shielded by legislative immunity.
This sets a chilling precedent: elect someone who fights for you, and the establishment can oust them. South Carolina’s lack of voter recall means you can’t hold legislators accountable, while they can erase your chosen leaders at will.
Corruption Beyond Columbia
The attack on your vote extends to county reorganizations, where grassroots candidates are sidelined by party bosses pushing pre-approved slates. Last-minute rule changes dethrone elected chairs and committee members, undermining the one-person, one-vote principle. This power grab ensures only loyalists to the political machine thrive, stifling innovators who champion individual liberty.
Politicians should serve the people, not enrich themselves through lobbyist deals or vendor kickbacks. The Treasurer’s office, a gatekeeper of our financial future, is ripe for exploitation. What truths did Loftis uncover that the elite are so desperate to bury? Only a transparent investigation can reveal the full story.
Act Now to Save Your Voice
South Carolina, your vote is being erased, and inaction is surrender. The resolution to remove Loftis now moves to the House, where a two-thirds vote could end his tenure—and your democratic choice. Call your State House representative today and demand they reject this unjust removal. Stand with Curtis Loftis, a proven guardian of our pensions, and against the special interests rigging the system.
We need new leaders—bold, liberty-minded reformers untainted by corruption. Support candidates who will restore voter recall, dismantle party control, and prioritize you over power. The future of our state hangs in the balance. Act now, or your voice may be silenced forever.

We have past those crossroads years ago. The people of SC have NO representation or power to change the system.
The only hope is PROJECT U-S A 2026 To replace all of these unconstitutional clowns with real Representatives. Ken Moran has some thoughts on the matter as well. Since getting an independent candidate on the ballot is almost impossible, Ken suggested we Primary as many as possible and force the issue on both parties.
