Yes, elections are still broken

The mission of SC Safe Elections is to ensure that elections are safe and secure, and that power returns to the people. This is our priority. It is not about one person winning or one party prevailing; it is about taking power away from individuals or parties and giving it back to the people to shape their government. This is how we preserve our republic—and our nation is a constitutional republic, NOT a democracy.

Our elections are corrupt, complex, sloppy, and designed to be this way. Until we fix the entire election ecosystem, we are doomed. This is a bipartisan issue.

While people celebrated and did victory dances in the end zone, the down ballot in many states was being manipulated. This is how it is done—quietly and persistently. Look at the shenanigans in PA, NV, AZ, NC, WI, CA, etc. Where is the RNC? Where are the "influencers"? Whom can you trust?

We need to bring elections back to the local level:

* ONE DAY of voting—a holiday

* Minimal absentee balloting

* Count votes where cast only at the precincts—NO early voting centers (absentee votes also counted at the precincts)

* Transparency of the count! Ballot counting should be PUBLIC, and we must be able to see the ballots to confirm their veracity; record the counting in real time and save it for verification

* Hand-marked, hand-counted ballots on paper with security features

* Register IN PERSON with proper ID at least every four years

* Counties in charge of the registration

* Paper poll books

And no voting by phone, computer, or blockchain—it is all vulnerable.

We the people win when these measures are implemented. We must bring elections back to the local level where we are in charge. Keep the conversation going about necessary election reform and continue to participate in your local government to make your communities great again.
