"This is an important election year and I want to trust our elections. We have been vocal about our concerns.
Please schedule a hearing in the Constitutional Law subcommittee for bills H4935 and H5303 as soon as possible."
“We the People” have been vocal about our lack of confidence with the use of computers in our elections. What more do we need to do to make our voices heard?
Over 150 people showed up for a rally for hand-counted, paper ballots on Jan 9th (even with terrible weather).
We’ve made many phone calls, held many discussions, and sent many emails and letters to our legislators.
Fifty-one people showed up (with very short notice) on Mar 21st when there was a possibility H4935 would be discussed in the subcommittee.
Over 2700 South Carolinians have signed a petition for hand-counted, paper ballots.
Please demonstrate that you are listening to us by scheduling a Constitutional Law Subcommittee hearing as soon as possible so that these can be voted out of committee before crossover. Please place both of these bills at the beginning of the agenda so that they can be adequately discussed.
Thank you."
